Snap, its a parent company of Snapchat, has unveiled a new creator fund that will pay up to $100,000 each month to independent musicians.

The new grant programme, according to the firm, is intended to recognise rising, independent artists for their vital role in propelling video creations.

Snap announced that beginning in August, it will award monthly funding of up to $100,000 to best Sounds producers who are distributing music in Snapchat through DistroKid.

Famous Sounds will also be considered for inclusion in our Sounds offering, as a Snapchat Lens and Spotlight.

The company stated that artists needed to have a US address, be at least 16 years old, and have parental permission.
